Full Day Workshop

Young people are expected to make pretty important decisions about their future, long before they're even equipped with the knowledge, experience or skills required to choose correctly. The blooPrint's approach is quite unique in doing this, because we do more than overwhelm them with information that they don't yet know the value of. Choosing a career is progressive, so we start that journey with them, while providing them with a platform that keeps them accountable. This is bigger than a generic employability course, but it's a reality check, a confidence boost and a helping hand all at once. We go into what the Full Day Workshop really looks like below. Keep reading!

Booking Includes:
Pre-Workshop consultation, 5-Hour Full Day delivery, Interactive activities and challenges, student workbook, take-home student resources, student survey, post-workshop summary and standard delivery costs within our service area. Please read the FAQ for the most asked questions and their answers.

All workshop materials, resources, activities, frameworks, presentations, written content and other materials created or supplied by The blooPrint remains the intellectual property of The blooPrint unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We provide a complete, structured and interactive programme that schools typically do not have the time or specialist capacity to design and deliver themselves. The blooPrint exists to help young people approach making such big decisions about their future, with more confidence, curiosity and realism. This is not a generic workshop, we want the workshop to be an experience that challenges young people to think about their future.

What we'll explore:

Understanding Career Choices
Why can choosing a career feel so difficult? Students explore some of the influences that can shape our decisions, as well as challenging the idea that there is only one route to a successful career.

Self-Discovery
Students reflect on their strengths, interests and abilities. We consider how these can translate into potential careers, skills and opportunities. It can be difficult translating natural gifts to a fulfilling career, even more so trying to figure out how a combination of them can open certain doors easily.

The Reality of Work and Adult Life
Students explore the relationship between careers, income, lifestyle and independence. They develop a more realistic, but hopeful understanding of what life beyond education can look like. Our young people should not be demoralised by the new world they're soon to pioneer, but should be motivated by the possibility of their place in these changes.

The Alternative Opportunities
Students are introduced to entrepreneurial thinking and challenged to consider how ideas can become opportunities. They are encouraged to explore these, rather than to think these are routes only a few can exploit. People have not only transformed their lives, but the lives of others from the simplest of ideas, we want young people to believe they can do that too.

Theory to Practical
Through collaborative activities, students develop and communicate their ideas, putting their creativity, decision-making and communication skills to the test.

Reflection and Next Steps
The day concludes with an opportunity for students to reflect on what they've learned and identify practical steps they can take forward.

Students leave...

  • Thinking more critically about their life and career choices

  • Developing a better understanding of their own strengths and the value of it

  • Considering how a career can determine lifestyle and independence

  • Wanting to explore different ways of creating opportunities for themselves

  • Knowing how to collaborate, communicate and make better decisions

  • Identifying practical next steps for their own future

Frequently asked questions

Do you require a member of staff to be present?

Yes. For safeguarding measures, at minimum, 1 member of staff must be present in the room throughout the facilitation of the workshop. We may bring our own assistance for the facilitation of the workshop, but this is at our discretion.

Do you provide all materials?

We provide the workbooks that students will work on throughout the session and additional take-home resources. What we would require to be provided by you for a seamless facilitation of the workshop, would be: A SMARTboard, a White Board, Wi-Fi, and a Desk.

Can you deliver to multiple groups a day?

We currently cannot deliver more than 1 Full Day workshop at a time. We can deliver 2 Half Day workshops in a single day, one being a morning session and the other an afternoon session.

Do you work with SEND students?

Yes, we do. Our facilitator has over 14 years of experience working with students in secondary schools, sixth forms and alternative provisions as a Teacher, a Tutor and Facilitator.
We will still require transparency on the profile of students we're presenting to, ensuring we are best prepared for the day.

Do you travel? If so, how far do you travel?

Travel within the M25 borders and 10 miles outside of the M25 are included in the workshop fee. Where delivery location is outside of this boundary, travel fees may apply and therefore calculations will be based on distance and journey requirements. We're happy to provide a quotation for any location.

How much do workshops cost?

A standard workshop costs £695. A bespoke workshop costs £795. Custom workshops will incur higher cost and will be determined during consultation process.

Can we have a bespoke workshop?

Certainly! For this specific package, workshops can be tailored to focus on one or more of the listed explorations for the day. Bespoke workshops will cost an additional £100.

Can workshops support Gatsby Benchmarks?

Yes, we can. The Workshop is designed to compliment schools' existing career programme and support relevant Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Career Guidance.

Are there any added costs on top of the fee?

No. We like to make things simple, therefore everything has been calculated to be included in the overall fee to avoid any confusion. Additional fees such as travel and accommodation will only be applied for those outside of the 10 mile radius outside of the M25 boundary.

How far in advance do I need to book?

At minimum, we require 2 month's notice. This is to ensure consultation is done without feeling rushed, necessary documents are exchanged in a timely manner and all resources for the workshop are ready for the day.

Can Workshops be adapted for different settings?

Yes and this is what the consultation period is perfect for. All we need, is to understand the setting and the requirements. We can therefore agree on our approach for delivery on the day.
